This Nerf blaster is the biggest gun in the Nerf blaster vortex series. You will need 6 size C batteries to run the gun. You have to place these batteries under the stock which are sealed by three screws.
The Nerf Vortex Nitron have two tube like clips. The first clip can be attached at the front of the trigger which can be used as the blaster’s handle, and you can attach the second clip at the slot at the back portion of the gun. The Nitro has two triggers, the upper trigger and the lower trigger. The upper trigger is for shooting discs and the lower trigger is for activating the fly wheel. At the top of the upper trigger you will find the Nitro’s quick release lever and at the top of the stock you will find the jam release lever just in case you experience disc jamming during gun fire.
Another cool part of the Nerf Vortex Nitron is the scope. To use the scope you will need 2 AAA batteries. The main reason for the batteries is because it actually lights up. There are three settings for the scope’s lighting function. The light moves from the shooter’s side going forward and the 1st setting is a fast movement, the 2nd setting is for slow light movement, and the 3rd setting is for a steady light function. The scope can be used with other Nerf guns as well. It attaches conveniently at the top of the Nerf Gun’s stock.
The Nerf Vortex Nitron is a very well designed gun. You can choose from different color schemes that makes it like an outer space type of gun. The length of the gun is just right for holding it and the weight is just okay as well. The Nitro only has one fly wheel and you can find the motor at the right side of the gun. The Nitro fires quick shots and is very accurate. However, you don’t need to be alarmed since Nerf discs are made from soft plastic material and are covered with foam.
